My yoga journey started when I was expecting the first of my 3
girls – 14 years ago!

I was used to high impact, aerobic type classes
and sports and suddenly here was a class that not only worked my
body in a relaxed and balanced way but also took my mind to a place
of respite. I dipped in and out of practice for a period as work and
family took over. However, as my life became busier I started to
have that feeling that life was passing so quickly and I need to take
stock. I began a more regular practice in yoga and realised the
importance of the mind/body connection to bring balance to my life.
Yoga and meditation has become an anchor to my crazy, busy but fun
and rewarding life. Yoga has helped my flexibility which in turn has
assisted my running not just from a physical perspective but a
mental one too. I wanted to study yoga in more depth and signed up
for the Seasonal Teachers Training course at Prana. Since
graduating I have been teaching a variety of yoga classes and love it!
It’s amazing to see the benefits yoga gives to some busy lives as
students relax during my classes and leave feeling revitalised.

I have recently completed the Wise Years course (mobility for
seniors) and have completed the Ayruvedic Indian Head Massage
course to complement my yogic journey.
Enjoy life as it unfolds!
